On tech support

When I was in high school I had an incredibly shy Indian friend who felt weird calling my house because he was afraid someone else would answer. One day while working on my grandmother’s computer I realized the solution to his problem. The next day I told him if someone other than me picks up he should just say that his name is Daniel and he’s calling to inform us that our computer has a virus.

This worked pretty well with my mother, but one day he called during dinner and my father answered. Not knowing what was going on my father went into a whole tirade about how him and the other Indian scammers should stop harassing people while they’re trying to have dinner.
